Online Latin Language Teacher

We are currently looking for a **Latin Language Teacher** to provide customized **virtual** lessons to our clients. ### Job Information: **Ref #199315:** Individual class for a 12-years-old * Availability: To be confirmed. Latin lessons should take place during school time instead of art. They have a rotating schedule, so the time is different for every lesson. * Preferred start date: September 1st * Lesson Frequency: 3x * Lesson Duration: 1h * Student’s location/time zone: Spartanburg, SC, USA * Preferred virtual platform: Flexible * Current target language level: Complete beginner * Native and other spoken languages: German - English * Student’s language needs and goals: As a complete beginner in Latin, his main goal is to develop the language skills needed to transition smoothly into the German school system. The long-term objective is for him to reach the required level to successfully follow the curriculum for grades 6–9 at a German Gymnasium by mid-2029. ### Responsibilities: * Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons * Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency levels and desired outcomes * Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals * Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner **Qualifications**: * Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language * Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or related field * Minimum of two years of Latin teaching experience All [Global LT](https://himalayas.app/companies/global-lt) instructor positions are freelance positions.
