Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. **What You'll Be Doing** * Operate excavators, loaders, and dozers safely and efficiently in heavy highway construction environments * Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure optimal performance * Collaborate with site supervisors and crew members to meet project timelines and safety standards * Follow site-specific safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents immediately * Assist with material movement, grading, and site preparation as directed **What Are We Looking For** * High School Diploma (or equivalency) AND prior relevant job experience * CDL license (A or B) with Tanker endorsement is preferred * Valid/Clean Driver’s License * Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. * Must have the ability to work a varied schedule of day shift, night shift, and weekends due to construction contracts * Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment (excavator and loader experience preferred) * Working knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in typical site work, grading, storm/sanitary/water pipe installation, etc * Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions **Conditions of Employment** * Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. **Work Environment** * Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level. **What We Offer** * $36.00 per hour base pay.
