Follow reaction plans for Food Safety, Food Quality and customer requirement deviations.  Must follow Good Manufacturing practices and good housekeeping guidelines.  Demonstrated ability to properly follow safety guidelines, OSHA requirements and wear personal protective equipment._ * _Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices and good housekeeping guidelines.  Must follow safety guidelines, wear designated Personal Protective Equipment, and meet OSHA safety requirements._ * _Must be able to identify and understand customer requirements._ * _Satisfactory attendance record. Must be willing to work weekends, off-shifts, OT as needed. Must be on-time to work._ * _Teamwork and compliance with plant policies and procedures._ * _Attend and participate in meetings._ * _Utilize Process Excellence tools to improve plant performance and complete specific projects as directed by Department Team Leaders. Engage in P.E. and SPS tools and support PE initiatives._ * _Performs duties as required by plant leadership to ensure efficient & effective operation of production processes.  This list is not all inclusive but may involve the following processes and/or equipment:_ * _Operate Clean in Place (CIP) systems for specific equipment._ * _Perform cleaning and sanitizing of casting, processing and packaging equipment using hand tools, power sprayers, rinsing unites, and sanitation chemicals._ * _Ability to read, understand, and follow the Master Sanitation Schedule and maintain sanitation records as needed._ * _Perform final sanitation inspection and sanitizing equipment prior to start up._ * _Effectively practice time and task management. Manage multiple priorities._ * _Inventory, stocking and replenishment of sanitation supplies._ * _Special cleaning projects as assigned._ * _Create work orders as needed to repair or replace damaged equipment._ * _Will be involved in using TMP and QIP._ * _Attend and complete chemical safety training. Demonstrate ability to find and understand MSDS information._ * _General Sanitation Labor will be involved in cleaning and sanitation of one or more of the following areas (Belts, Blending, CIP, Clean and Grind, Cooker, Cooler Dock, COP Tank, Palletizer Dock, Wrapper areas)_ * _Must have an absenteeism rate of 65 points or less, commendable or better record in teamwork and overall job performance and have no disciplinary action_ **What you need to succeed** * _High School Diploma – G.E.D._ * _Ability to read and comprehend written or verbal instructions_ * _Ability to operate power cleaning and sanitizing equipment_ * _Willing to learn new process systems as they evolve_ * _Must be physically capable of performing moderate to heavy lifting_ * _Must be able to work in wet and humid conditions_ * _English speaking/reading requirement in positions that require comprehension of the English language._   **Physical demands** * _Stand – 2.5 hours_ * _Walk – 2.5 hours_ * _Sit – 1.5 hours_ * _Crouch and/or stoop - .75 hours_ * _Forklift use - .75 hours_ * _Lift/carry up to 50 pounds – .75 hours_ * _Work in wet and humid conditions – 1.5 hours_ * _Work around ammonia systems, acid systems and high voltage areas – 1.25 hours_ * _Climbing - .5 hours_ **Wage: Production 01B ($18.51 - $21.94 base wage) 24-MONTH PROGRESSION** **Eligible partners will receive:** =================================== **Eligible partners will receive:** * **Get not one, but TWO retirement benefits.** When you join our employee-owned company, you’ll be part of our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) from day one.
