Performs related work as required. **Essential Functions** * Take and record patient's height/weight, health history, and vital signs including blood pressure and blood drawing and EKG's. * Prepare patients for examinations and procedures * Prepare examination rooms * Sterilize equipment * Assist in clerical procedures but not limited to scheduling patients, answering phones * Performs routine tests such as urinalysis , blood sugar and hematocrit * Use good independent judgment – patient well-being. ​**Qualifications** * Graduate of State Certified Program and High School Diploma or equivalent. * Completion of a technician program or hospital program. * EKG/Phlebotomy/BLS Certification required * OHS Fit Test * OHS Annual Assessment Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital is an equal employment opportunity employer.
