Franciscan Health takes pride in hiring coworkers who provide compassionate, comprehensive care for our patients and the communities we serve.  **WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT**  This course will train you to be eligible to work as a Patient Care Technician within the Franciscan Health Network.   The PCT Trainee is an entry level position whose job functions include but are not limited to providing for a patient's activities of daily living (ADLs); limited screening, collection, and recording of data and information; maintenance of unit supplies and equipment; patient transporting; answering call-lights, telephone, and Vocera.  **Program Overview:**  The course is 6 weeks long; the first 2 weeks are classroom-based and clinical rotations start on the 3rd week. Please note that the schedule could change depending on the clinical rotation and shift available.  You will be provided with the necessary books, study materials, and any required equipment for the trainee course.   You must provide your own scrubs (royal blue).  The program is comprised of quizzes, a midterm exam, final exam, and final simulation.  Successful completion of the program is determined by an 80% pass rate or higher.   **Upon Program Completion:**  You will be assigned to a unit.
