**Patient Service Representative** – Mercy Clinic Spine & Pain Management - Southfork

**Location:** 12700 Southfork Road, Suite 153, St. Louis, MO 63128
**Schedule:** Full-Time | Days | Monday-Friday

**Qualifications:**
* **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent.
* **Experience**: Customer service experience preferred
**Responsibilities:**
* Greet and register patients; verify identity and manage check‑in/check‑out
* Answer phones and perform clerical tasks including Epic charting, scanning, faxing, and document handling
* Schedule appointments, procedures, and testing; provide timely estimates and Good Faith Estimates
* Monitor provider schedules, communicate delays, and coordinate with staff to ensure efficient clinic flow
* Maintain accurate registration, EHRs, and assigned work queues
* Handle patient concerns professionally and escalate as needed
* Manage daily cash drawer, accounts receivable tasks, and payment plans
* Support EPIC updates, departmental initiatives, and clinic communications
* Maintain a safe, clean reception area and adhere to safety, privacy, and infection control policies
* Perform other duties as assigned
**Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:**
* Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance, and billing processes
* Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
* Basic computer skills, including accurate data entry
* Strong customer service skills with a patient‑focused approach
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy policies
* Adaptable, professional, and able to work well under pressure
* Effective problem‑solving and issue resolution skills
