May require access to storage areas where medications are kept and carry out procedures that require the use of non-prescription medications. **Essential Functions** * All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. * Communicates and informs appropriate personnel, patients and family members of pertinent information in a timely manner. * Maintains accurate paper and electronic documentation. * Utilizes equipment and supplies safely and appropriately; orders supplies as needed; labels specimens correctly. * Performs basic nursing care, simple and complex procedures, multiple treatments, waived testing and transports assigned patients. * Performs other duties as assigned. **Supervisory/Management Responsibilities** * This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. ****Minimum Requirements**** * Education - Completion of a Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Tech, Medical Assistant or Nursing Fundamentals course. * Experience - Previous nursing assistant, medical assistant or related experience preferred. ****In Lieu Of**** * In lieu of the education and experience requirements noted above, the following combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered an equivalent substitution: * required coursework, will accept 1 year of related healthcare experience. * nursing assistant training course, will accept current or former state CNA certification as proof of completed state required training at time of hire.    * school verification of a medical assistant training course, will accept current or former CMA certification as proof of completed required training at time of hire.    **Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses** * NA **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** * Skills necessary to care for patients. * Heart saver **Work Shift** Variable (United States of America) **Location** Tuomey **Facility** 1570 Tuomey Hospital **Department** 15706263 Family Beginnings Share your talent with us!
