May also transport patients to and from appointments at the medical center . **Job Description**: **EDUCATION** * _Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma._ * HS Diploma or general education degree (GED). **CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE** * BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider **PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:** * Previous working experience in a health care environment. **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE** * Strong communication skills for frequent and challenging contact with physicians, patients, families; patience and compassion * Ability to lift and position patients properly using best practices * Must be customer focused and be able to promote services in a positive manner * Ability to maintain composure during challenging interpersonal interactions * Ability to work independently, prioritize work, tolerate frequent interruptions and work well under pressure **Job Shift:** Day/Evening/Night **Schedule:** Per Diem/Casual **Shift Hours:** 8 **Days of the Week:** Variable **Weekend Requirements:** Every other Weekend, Every Weekend **Benefits:** No **Unions:** Yes **Position Status:** Non-Exempt **Weekly Hours:** 0 **Employee Status:** Per Diem/Casual Sutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.
