Patient Video Monitor Tech Gmmc Full Time Days

Be the difference.** **Job Summary** Assumes responsibility for constant patient observation via video tele-monitoring system for patients located in the inpatient setting with an identified safety risk. Functions under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. * **Essential Functions** * All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. * Initiates and maintains visual monitoring of patients.  * Observes the visual stream of the patients and notifies assigned nursing staff per the Patient Safety Observation Policy if an issue arises that requires staff response.  * Records initiation of visual monitoring on VMT Monitor Log to include the patient's name, unit, and the reason for visual monitoring. * Records any verbal patient cuing and/or calls to the nursing staff in the Monitor Tech Visual Monitor Log. * Utilizes audio component to verbally redirect patient to modify at-risk behaviors. * At time of discontinuation, places all visual monitoring logs in the patient record. * Identifies opportunities for process improvement and participates in ongoing process improvement activities; incorporates process improvement results into practice.  * Performs other duties as assigned * **Supervisory/Management Responsibilities** * This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive. * **Minimum Requirements** * Education - Completion of a nursing assistant or patient care tech program. * Experience - Six (6) months of acute care or twelve (12) months post-acute care nursing assistant experience. * **In Lieu Of** * In lieu of completion of a nursing assistant or patient care tech training program only, may accept 6 months acute care or 12 months post-acute care experience.  * In lieu of ability to verify completion of a nursing assistant training course, may accept current or former state CN A certification as proof of completed training.    * **Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses** * NA * **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** * Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.  **Work Shift** Day (United States of America) **Location** Greenville Memorial Hospital **Facility** Corporate **Department** Video Monitoring Share your talent with us!
