Phlebotomist- Full Time

**Employment Type:** -------------------- Full time **Shift:** ---------- Day Shift **Description:** ================ * Properly identifies out patients by verbal confirmation and positive identification system. * Properly identifies and labels patients specimens for  Blood Bank testing using the positive patient identification system. * Properly identifies patients and adequately performs venipunctures and/or skin punctures. * Uses appropriate aseptic technique to draw blood cultures * Clearly and accurately labels all specimens immediately after venipuncture and completes necessary documentation * Evaluates specimen adequacy Receives specimens in the computer and delivers them to the appropriate department * Monitors inventory levels and follows appropriate protocol for re-ordering supplies * Deletes or cancels orders as necessary with full documentation of reason and colleague they spoke with. * Collates requests, answers the telephone, delivers specimens to appropriate department and operates the pneumatic tube Always demonstrates proper telephone etiquette * Consistently assumes responsibility for calls, correctly answers questions, directs inquiries and takes messages * Adapts work schedule to meet emergency staffing needs Is responsive, courteous, respectful and cooperative in completing tasks * Collects TIMED and STAT tests within designated time period * Maintains supplies, carts, workstations in a neat, clean and orderly manner * Performs other related duties as required **Qualifications**: * High School Diploma/Equivalent required * Phlebotomy Certification or equivalent training **Position Highlights:** * Work/Life balance with flexible schedules.   * Free onsite parking.   * Our mission and core values are what drive each member of Trinity Health to support each other, communicate openly and respectfully while embracing a culture that nurtures a healing, safe environment for all.    * Referral Rewards Program. **Nazareth Hospital** serves Northeast Philadelphia and the surrounding region.
