Please [click here](https://www.shrinerschildrens.org/en/locations?listPage=1) to learn more about our locations. **Job Description** **Job Summary** The Physical Therapist at The Shriners Hospital for Children is responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing physical therapy interventions to restore, maintain, and promote optimal physical function and well-being in pediatric patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and developmental conditions. This role focuses on maximizing each child's independence and participation in daily activities. **Key Responsibilities** * Upon receiving a licensed independent practitioner referral, implements a systematic patient examination and evaluation utilizing comprehensive compliant and safe clinical care demonstrating the philosophy of family centered care * Works with medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized plans of care to meet the needs of the patient and their family. * Makes appropriate discharge plans by collaborating with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team. * Functions as a team member and develops leadership skills through activities such as mentoring and providing education to students and other professionals. * Supports risk management and compliance initiatives through accurate, thorough documentation. **Required Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy * MA PT license **Preferred Qualifications** * 1-year physical therapy experience - new graduates considered * Pediatric experience  Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
