Physical Therapist Assistant

**Summary** **Job Description:** **Physical Therapist Assistant** **Part Time, First Shift** The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will treat patients, maintain communication with doctors and other health personnel, supervise aides, volunteers, support staff, and students under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist in compliance with the Kentucky State Board of Physical Therapy Practice Act. **Job Duties:** * Provide services to improve functional independence and/or reduce pain such as therapeutic procedures/exercises or activities to promote ROM, strength, coordination, balance, functional mobility (bed mobility, transfers, floor transfers), ADL training, gait training, balance and vestibular training, education, and use of assistive devices. * Completes documentation for treatment notes and D/C summaries in a timely manner. * Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs; recommending discharge disposition and assistive equipment needs. **Requirements:** * Associates in a Physical Therapist Assistant Program * Eligible for a temporary license or Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant by the Kentucky Board of Physical Therapy **Preferred Requirements:** * Acute Care **Benefits:** * Tuition Assistance reimbursement program * Paid Time Off available for use upon hire * Company paid Maternity and Paternity Leave * Bereavement Leave (includes pets) * Employee Assistance Program * Retirement plans with company match ### _If you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply now!_ ### Baptist Health is an _Equal Employment Opportunity_ employer.
