Location -------- New York, New York Shift: ------ Night (United States of America) Description: ------------ **Physician Assistant - Internal Medicine / Medicine Orthopedic Trauma Service - Rotating - Cornell Campus** Join a patient focused team and play a key role in delivering high-quality internal medicine care to orthopedic patients. At NewYork-Presbyterian we provide comprehensive care pre- and post-operatively to medically complex orthopedic fracture patients through a joint orthopedic/medicine program called the Medicine Orthopedic Trauma Service (MOTS). The PA in this role will co-manage the medical care of complex patients with orthopedic injuries, working with a multidisciplinary team and will be the central provider for the team, with a high degree of autonomy, independent thinking / decision making supported by a team of excellent Hospitalists. This program has received the Patient Centered Care Team Achievement Award, which recognizes groups of people who come together to develop methods that improve the patient experience. And as we move forward, we continue to build on this success.  **Shift: 3 12.5 hour shifts per week.** **Preferred Criteria:** * Background in managing patients in acute care setting (step-down, cardiology, telemetry, etc.) is a plus. * Minimum of two years of inpatient experience highly preferred **Required Criteria:** * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies * Current NYS licensure * NCCPA certification Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
