This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Naval Hospital - Beaufort, South Carolina to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Provides comprehensive Family Medicine medical care to a broad range of patients with both common and complex medical concerns. This position is Obligated and a TERM - Not to Exceed 5 years position. It is time-limited and may be extended up to a maximum of eight years. Major Duties: - Serve as a Physician in the delivery of Family medicine care to all ages of active-duty personnel, their dependents, eligible Service Component Civilian employees, and other eligible beneficiaries. - Formulate full treatment plans based on sound evaluation and diagnoses consistent with current evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. - Apply new procedures in the evaluation and treatment of complex patient cases. - Conduct research for the advancement of the Family Medicine Program. - Serve as a member of the professional medical staff and faculty to provide advisory and consultative services on various meetings, committees, conferences, and boards. - Evaluate the care provided to patients at medical treatment facility.
