Plant Engineer- Cement

Heidelberg Materials North America, previously known as Lehigh Hanson, operates more than 450 locations with approximately 9,000 employees in the U.S. and Canada. **What You’ll Get To Do:** * Provide leadership in development and implementation of plant safety initiatives * Oversee the optimization of production equipment, including kiln, grinding mills, and related processes and inputs including raw materials and fuels * Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts in cooperation with the Maintenance Manager * Coordinate refractory related activities, including selection, ordering, removal, installation, and maintenance of refractory history **Who we are looking for:** * Bachelor’s degree in engineering required, Mechanical engineering discipline strongly preferred. * Cement and/or heavy industrial setting experience required * Previous leadership experience is an asset * Proven communication and relationship management skills * Problem solving skills and multi-discipline thinking * Excellent working knowledge with a variety of software * Safety and maintenance exposure is an asset * Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project * AutoCad experience nice to have **Work Environment:** * Role operates in a manufacturing location where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels **What we have to offer:** * Competitive base salary: $101,050 - $134,743 * Participation in our annual incentive plan * Highly competitive benefits programs * Pension retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions * Our pre-employment process includes reference checks, a medical screening, a criminal record check and a drivers abstract check.
