Plant Operator

Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. **What You'll Be Doing** * Assist in the operation of stone processing plants, including start‑up, shut‑down, and overall plant operation. * Inspect, monitor, and operate conveyors, screens, and crushers; identify and report operating issues and oversized stone. * Perform routine maintenance, including minor repairs, adjustments, inspections, and lubrication of plant equipment. * Maintain cleanliness and safety by performing general cleanup around the plant and equipment areas. * Complete additional miscellaneous duties as assigned to support plant operations. **What Are We Looking For** * High school diploma or GED required. * 2 years prior experience in the aggregate industry preferred; experience in aggregate plant operation and maintenance a plus. * Highly dependable, ability to work in fast paced environment. * Prior experience operating mobile equipment (haul truck, skid steer, etc.) and machinery a plus. * Commitment to safety and quality standards. **Conditions of Employment** * Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. * Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing. **Work Environment** * Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level. **What We Offer** * $29.92 per hour. * Benefits through the Union for Medical, Dental, Vision and Pension. * Union paid vacation, sick leave and holidays.
