Your key responsibilities will include: * Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing plumbing issues in Defence buildings and infrastructure. * Installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters. * Ensuring all plumbing work complies with current legislation and regulatory standards. * Conducting routine maintenance checks on plumbing systems and pipework. * Collaborating with other maintenance staff and contractors to complete repairs and installations. * Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent. * Responding to emergency plumbing situations promptly and efficiently. * Advising on the selection of materials and equipment for plumbing repairs and installations. * Providing technical support and guidance to junior staff and apprentices. * Participating in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry best practices. * Identifying areas for process improvement and work collaboratively with teams to implement best practices. **About you** Our ideal candidate will have: * Experience in plumbing maintenance and repair work. * Experience working in large infrastructure environments would be highly desirable. * Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. * Minimum of Certificate III in Plumbing or equivalent qualification, and valid Plumbing & Drainage Occupational Licence. * Licence endorsements for backflow prevention, heat pump water systems, on-site sewerage facility maintenance, solar water systems, and thermostatic mixing valves.
