Plumbing & Drainage Engineer

**About the Role** We are seeking a motivated and technically capable **Plumbing & Drainage Engineer** to join our Building Services team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, delivery, and coordination of plumbing and drainage systems across a diverse portfolio of projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial developments. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will support project teams to deliver high-quality, practical, and compliant engineering solutions aligned with Beca’s standards and client expectations. **Key Responsibilities** * Assist in the design and documentation of plumbing and drainage systems in accordance with local regulations and international standards. * Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports under supervision. * Conduct site inspections, surveys, and condition assessments to inform design decisions. * Support the selection of appropriate materials, systems, and equipment. * Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration into overall building designs. * Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering initiatives. * Support construction phase services, including installation oversight, testing, and commissioning activities. * Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during design and construction stages. * Contribute to project planning, cost estimation, and program delivery. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and industry best practices. **About You** We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality outcomes and developing their technical expertise. **Qualifications & Experience** * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. * 2–5 years of relevant experience in plumbing and drainage design (consultancy experience preferred). * Understanding of applicable codes and standards (e.g., SNI, ASPE, or equivalent). * Familiarity with hydraulic calculations and drainage system sizing. * Proficiency in design tools such as **AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP**. **Skills & Attributes** * Strong analytical and problem-solving capability. * Good written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams. * Organised with good time management and attention to detail. * Willingness to learn and grow within a professional engineering environment. **Why Join Us** * Opportunity to work on high-profile and technically challenging projects. * Collaborative and inclusive team culture. * Structured career development aligned with Beca capability framework. * Exposure to international standards and best practices.
