Investigates pathways to establish an independent research program, including development and submission of a career development award. May also oversee operational aspects of projects including drafting of materials for submission to the Institutional Research Board (IRB) and assisting other investigators with grant applications. As part of the ongoing training, may also enroll in didactic classes on topics that align with research interests.
