Poultry Vaccination Technician

**Job Description Summary:** This role plays a critical part in overall success of the farm operations within the vaccination crew. This crew has primary responsibilities for the animal care and welfare of the birds. **Job Description:** * Work with day-old chicks * Will be required to collect birds for moving, weighing, and vaccinations * Must be able to work with live animals and the associated environment * Collect blood samples, band/tag or remove tags from birds * Must follow Animal Care Standards, Animal Welfare Guidelines, and Bio-Security policies and procedures * Ability to work with chemicals such as detergents, disinfects, etc. * Must perform essential duties in a safe and efficient manner as trained * Must be able to be around farm related smells or odors and loud/noisy environment * May work up to 6 days a week, including weekends and holidays Job Qualifications: * Ability to understand oral and written instructions and perform simple task * Ability to perform work that is repetitive in nature * Ability to stand for long periods of time * Ability to grip, grasp, or twist using hands and wrist * Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50lbs * Bend and stoop throughout the shift * Animal husbandry experience preferred but not required.
