Principal Energy Analyst

**Key Responsibilities** ------------------------ ### **Energy Modeling & Analysis** * Develop, calibrate, and validate detailed energy models for buildings, campuses, and/or energy systems using industry-standard tools (e.g., EnergyPlus, IES-VE, Design builder). * Conduct modeling to support high-performance design, code compliance (ASHRAE 90.1), green building certifications (Green Mark, LEED, Green Star, BREEAM), and incentive programs. * Analyze HVAC system performance, envelope strategies, renewables integration, and decarbonization pathways. ### **Technical Leadership** * Establish modeling standards, workflows, QA/QC procedures, and documentation protocols. * Lead scoping, planning, and execution of complex modeling tasks across multiple projects. * Keep current with new modeling technologies, energy codes, decarbonization strategies, and simulation techniques. ### **Stakeholder Engagement** * Present energy modeling results to project teams, clients, utilities, and regulatory bodies. * Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, sustainability consultants, and project managers to inform design decisions. * Provide technical guidance to internal teams regarding energy codes, performance targets, and modeling implications. ### **Mentorship & Development** * Train and support junior modelers in software proficiency, methodology, and analysis best practices. * Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to internal capability building.
