Job Description
Join one of the world’s largest Clinical Research Organizations and play a key role in advancing new medical treatments. Our Early Phase Unit is seeking a **Lab Technician** to support healthy volunteer clinical trials and help generate high‑quality data that shapes the future of medicine.
This is a **PRN,** **office-based position in Dallas, TX**.
**What You’ll Do**
In this hands-on role, you’ll work directly with study samples and support a wide variety of early‑phase clinical trials. No two days are the same. Key responsibilities include:
* High volume collecting, handling, processing, and shipping specimens (including PK samples).
* Operating and maintaining lab equipment and ensuring a clean, safe work environment.
* Troubleshooting sample or equipment issues.
* Managing reagent and supply inventories.
* Safely handling hazardous materials.
* Supporting daily lab workflows and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
You’ll collaborate with a skilled clinical team and gain exposure to cutting-edge therapies, first‑in‑human studies, and innovative medical technologies.
**What You Bring**
* At least 1 year of laboratory experience.
* Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment.
* Strong teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail.
* Comfort working with biological specimens and using PPE as required.
**Work Environment:**
* Work is performed in a laboratory and/or a clinical environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
* Occasional drives to site locations, occasional domestic travel.
* Exposure to biological fluids.
* Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments, and gloves.
**Physical Requirements:**
* Ability to work in an upright and /or stationary position for 6-8 hours per day.
* Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists to operate lab equipment.
* Occasional crouching, stooping, with frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
* Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
* Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
* Regular and consistent attendance.
* Varied hours may be required.
