**This position is in North Kansas City**
The Licensed or License-Eligible QMHP provides advanced clinical and leadership support while delivering mental health services to individuals and groups. This role provides crisis intervention, risk assessments, diagnostic impressions, short-term stabilization, therapy, and discharge planning. The QMHP develops individualized treatment strategies and collaborates with internal and external providers to meet the needs of a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide individual and group mental health treatment using evidence-based and clinically appropriate approaches.
* Conduct crisis interventions, risk assessments, and diagnostic impressions utilizing DSM guidelines.
* Provide short-term stabilization services and coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care.
* Develop treatment strategies based on patient needs and established clinical standards.
* Serve as a clinical resource and provide leadership and support to team members.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and internal and external treatment providers.
* Maintain accurate, timely, and professional documentation.
* Promote quality improvement, patient safety, cultural diversity, and compliance with organizational standards.
* Maintain current clinical knowledge and participate in required training and professional development.
Minimum Requirements
* Master’s degree from an accredited program in counseling, psychology, social work, family therapy, or a closely related field.
* Current Missouri **LCSW, LPC, or LMFT**; **or** **PLPC, LMSW, or PLMFT** actively pursuing clinical licensure under approved supervision.
* License-eligible candidates must agree to pursue clinical licensure and maintain required documentation and supervision throughout the process.
* Knowledge of psychiatric terminology, diagnosis, mental health assessment, and treatment.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to exercise independent judgment and adapt to a changing work environment.
* Completion of required orientation and training within established timelines.
* Must meet Fleet Driving Safety and Compliance Policy requirements if driving is required.
