Click [**here**](https://agrilife.tamu.edu/) to learn more about how **_you_** can be a part of AgriLife and make a difference in the world! **Position Information** We are seeking a Program Coordinator II, who under general supervision, works collaboratively with departmental leadership to implement academic programs and manage marketing and communication needs. **Responsibilities:** **65% Academic Program Coordination** * Coordinate the department’s graduate programs * Support the Associate Department Head for Graduate Programs. * Assist with program assessments and program reviews. * Support the Graduate Program Committee * Assist with course scheduling. * Assist with student outreach recruitment for graduate programs. Outreach events can be local or out of state. * Data collection and tracking for various program platforms and internal applications. * Schedule travel and assist with logistics for graduate seminars. * Host seminar speakers. * Assist with the logistics of the summer undergraduate research program and international field trip learning experiences. * Identify of funding opportunities and assist with data and preparation for training grants. * Assist with career and professional development for undergraduate and graduate students. Coordinate Nutrition’s Career Club. * Support graduate student needs. **30% Marketing and Communications:** * Science communications. * Assist with web design for department programs and research labs. * Social media support for department. * Oversee the design, content, and distribution of departmental communications. * Marketing and promotion of department programs. Design branded items. * Assist with departmental events such as seminars, symposiums, and social gatherings. **5% Other duties as required.** **Required Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus an additional four (4) years of related experience. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Master's degree in a science-related field or science communication or equivalent combination of education and experience. * 3-5 years of related experience in academic program coordination and/or marketing and science communications. **Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. * Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. **Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** * Website design and management * Social media management skills **Why Work at Texas A&M AgriLife?** When you choose to **_work_** for Texas A&M AgriLife, you become part of an organization that is an established leader in agriculture and life sciences with a wide range of capabilities to meet the needs of our statewide, national, and international constituents.
