Project Engineer

As a **Project Engineer** at **Ovivo Ultra Pure Water by Ecolab**, you will support the successful delivery and long-term performance of ultrapure water (UPW), reclaim, and wastewater systems at a customer site in Boise, Idaho. In this role, you will serve as the on-site technical interface between project teams, construction partners, vendors, and the customer to ensure effective system installation, startup, and commissioning. Following project completion, you will transition into a customer support role focused on troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement while collaborating with a centralized engineering team. **What You Will Do** * Support installation, startup, and commissioning of UPW, reclaim, and wastewater systems * Provide on-site engineering support to construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure alignment with design intent * Troubleshoot process, mechanical, and system integration issues during commissioning and early operations * Respond to RFIs and field technical questions, coordinating with engineering teams as needed * Review field changes, redlines, and as-built conditions to ensure consistency with design documents * Serve as the primary local technical interface with the customer during project execution and post-project support * Deliver after-sales support including troubleshooting, performance optimization, and minor system modifications * Coordinate with internal teams to execute system improvements, upgrades, and expansion efforts * Support preparation and review of engineering deliverables such as equipment specifications, P&IDs, layouts, and vendor submittals * Provide field feedback to enhance constructability and standardization of designs * Maintain accurate project documentation and support knowledge transfer to engineering standards * Apply established engineering standards, procedures, and safety practices in all work **Position Details** * Location: Boise, Idaho * Primary work site: Customer site with office support from the Boise Support Center * Travel: Periodic travel to Plano, Texas or other project sites for several weeks at a time **Minimum Qualifications** * B.S. degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent experience * 3–8+ years of experience in project engineering, construction support, or commissioning of industrial water systems * Experience in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments * Experience with AutoCAD Plant3D or similar tools * Working knowledge of UPW, reclaim, or industrial wastewater treatment systems * Familiarity with process equipment including pumps, pressure vessels, valves, and piping systems * Ability to interpret P&IDs, layouts, and technical specifications * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a field environment * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications * No Immigration Sponsorship provided for this role **Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:** The pay range for this role is $75.000-105,000 Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws. **Benefits**  Ecolab provides the following benefits: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, auto insurance, home insurance, pet insurance, identity theft protection, short-term and long-term disability, 401k, pension plans, retirement health care benefits, short-term incentives, vacation (12 days), holidays, parental leave, employee stock purchase plans (Full-Time Associates), discount on day care services and caregiver services, adoption assistance, group legal services, employee assistance program, employee discount program, and education assistance program, on-Site childcare and fitness facilities may be available at select Ecolab locations. [Click here](https://jobs.ecolab.com/working-here/) for additional benefits information. _If you are viewing this posting on a site other than our Ecolab Career website, view our benefits at [jobs.ecolab.com/working-here](http://jobs.ecolab.com/working-here)_. **Potential Customer Requirements Notice** To meet customer requirements and comply with local or state regulations, applicants for certain customer-facing roles may need to: \- Undergo additional background screens and/or drug/alcohol testing for customer credentialing. \- Be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including a booster if eligible, unless a religious or medical accommodation is requested by the applicant and approved by Ecolab. **Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)**  Ecolab will provide reasonable accommodation (such as a qualified sign language interpreter or other personal assistance) with our application process upon request as required to comply with applicable laws.
