R&D Scientist - Thermoplastics

_Armacell provides numerous and diverse career opportunities.  Add your talent to ours and make a difference around the world!_ Join **our** Global R&D team **and play a key role in** shaping the future of thermoplastic foam technologies. In this role, you will drive innovation projects, and contribute to the development of next-generation products and technologies. **Your Tasks** * **Lead product and process development projects for thermoplastic foams from concept through commercialisation** * Develop and evaluate innovative products, technologies, and applications to support business growth * Design and execute research activities to assess technical and commercial feasibility * Support the scale-up and transfer of new technologies across global/regional manufacturing sites * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver development projects and innovation initiatives * Contribute to intellectual property protection through invention disclosures and patent support * Provide technical expertise, project reporting, and stakeholder communication across the organization * Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards in all R&D activities **Your Profile** * MSc or PhD in **Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Polymer Chemistry**, or a related discipline * Minimum three years of experience in Research & Development or Innovation within a technical or industrial environment * Practical experience in thermoplastic processing, including extrusion foaming technologies * Strong project management skills and experience working in cross-functional development projects * Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities * Results-oriented and innovation-driven approach to technical development * Fluent **English** and **Polish**, both written and spoken * Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with diverse stakeholders in an international environment * Willingness to travel ~30% across EMEA manufacturing sites and the German R&D Center **Our Offer** * Armacell offers opportunities for personal development and a competitive salary package according to your experience and skillset * Flat hierarchies and short decision-making paths * Respectful and inclusive work culture in an international environment * Integration Events (Family day, Global Armacell Day) * Luxmed – Medical Care Package * Multisports Card * Life Insurance * … #LI-Onsite #LI-AH1 **Time Type:** Full time
