Rearload Driver

**Waste Connections of Wyoming** is seeking a safety-focused **CDL Rear Load Driver** to join our team. This position is responsible for servicing a combination of residential and commercial customers while operating a rear load garbage truck. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and operational excellence. ### Position Details * **Position:** CDL Rear Load Driver * **Pay:** Starting at **$22.00 per hour** * **Schedule:** Monday through Friday * **Start Time:** 5:00 AM * **Hours:** Approximately 40 hours per week with overtime as needed * **Route Type:** Residential and Commercial Collection Essential Job Functions ----------------------- * Safely operate a rear load garbage truck on assigned collection routes. * Service residential and commercial customers in accordance with scheduled route assignments. * Read and follow route sheets, work orders, and dispatch instructions. * Operate hydraulic controls to collect and unload waste materials. * Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns. * Maintain accurate records and comply with all DOT, company, and safety regulations. * Transport collected materials to designated disposal or transfer facilities. * Provide professional, courteous service to customers and the public. * Perform additional duties as assigned. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions -------------------------------------------- * Regular lifting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering of containers weighing 50 pounds or more. * Ability to repeatedly enter and exit the vehicle throughout the workday. * Work performed primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions. * Exposure to noise, moving mechanical equipment, vibration, dust, and other environmental conditions associated with waste collection operations. * Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods. Qualifications -------------- * Valid **Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)** with air brake endorsement required. * Must be at least 21 years of age. * Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. * Knowledge of vehicle inspection procedures and basic truck maintenance. * Strong safety mindset and commitment to following company policies and procedures. * Previous waste industry experience is preferred but not required.
