Recreation Aid Nf-01

This position is located at Aquatics, Fort Polk, Louisiana. This vacancy is in conjunction with the FMWR Job Fair on Wed, 07/29/26. Walk-ins will be accepted 9-11 am, interviews will be conducted 11-1 pm. The event will be held at the ACS Building #920 (920 Bell Richard Ave.) Applicants who attend this event will be given priority consideration. Major Duties: - Employs safety rules for the protection of the pool guests. Responsible for life-guarding guests in attendance at the assigned aquatics facility. - Provides maximum pool area surveillance and responds to emergencies; rescues pool patrons and administers first aid as required. - Responsible for assisting in the conduct of aquatic swimming and water survival training according to ATP 7-22.01 as of October 2020 and assisting with American Red Cross swim lessons as an Aide. - Assists in maintaining pool, and area clean and free from any hazards. Performs periodic water tests and reports results to the pool leader on duty. Provides information to swimmers regarding safety/health/admission rules and procedures. - Serves as a lifeguard for indoor and outdoor pools and works under the direction of the Installation Aquatics Program Manager. And other duties assigned.
