Recreation Specialist - Youth Sports

This job will be accepting job applications until the position is filled. **Hourly:** $22.37 - $22.37 **Department:** Athletics, Culture & Recreation **Division:** Youth Sports **FLSA:** Non-Exempt **Job Description:** This role will coordinate activities of paid and volunteer recreation service personnel for youth sports. ###  Examples of Duties: * Develops and promotes recreation programs, including social recreation and games.  * Adapts recreation programs to meet needs of the department and the community.  * Introduces new program activities, equipment, and materials to staff.  * Interprets recreation service to public and participates in community meetings and organizational planning.  * Works in team with other recreation personnel to ensure that recreation is well balanced, coordinated, and integrated.  * Performs other duties as assigned. ###  Basic Qualifications: * Two years of related experience and/or training  * High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience * Valid state issued driver’s license * Ability to obtain CPR certification and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment * Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word or similar software.
