Recreation Therapist-Pace Ft Days

Be the difference.** **Job Summary** Plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates a variety of recreation programs and services to meet participant needs for social, physical, and cognitive functioning. **Essential Functions** * All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose:  Inspire health.  Serve with compassion.  Be the difference. * Performs appropriate initial recreational therapy assessments and re-assessments upon referral from Interdisciplinary Team. Communicates participant changes to team members. * Develops specific therapeutic programs as part of the plan of care to include recreational and social activities. * Documents accordingly in the participant's medical record. * Develops, implements and supervises the activity program. * Serves as a resource to staff and coordinates volunteer activities at the center. * Performs other duties as assigned. **Supervisory/Management Responsibility** * This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. **Minimum Requirements** * Education - Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or related field of study. * Experience - One (1) year of experience in an environment with a frail or elderly population **In Lieu Of** * NA **Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses** * CPR certification    **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** * Knowledge of office equipment * Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets) * Recreational therapy activity skills * Working knowledge of recreational therapy equipment **Work Shift** Day (United States of America) **Location** Richland Chapin **Facility** 1539 Seniorcare - Midlands **Department** 15396638 SeniorCare PACE-White Rock Share your talent with us!
