**Overview:**
**Sentara Medical Group Comprehensive Weight Loss** Kempsville Office is **seeking to hire** a Full-Time **Referral Coordinator.**
**Position Hours:** Monday-Friday, 8a - 430p, Dayshift. **NO NIGHTS, HOLIDAYS or WEEKENDS!**
**Position Location:** Norfolk VA
**Overview**
Provides a direct link between patients, primary care providers, specialty providers, and insurance companies. Coordinates referral process from primary care providers as well as pre-authorization approvals for drugs and other services as ordered by provider.
Medical terminology preferred. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payers. One year of experience with insurance verification/referral processing preferred. Knowledge of EPIC preferred. Proficient in use of computers and excellent organizational skills.
**Education**
* High School Diploma or Equivalent
**Experience**
* Health Insurance Plans 1 year experience required
* Medical terminology preferred
* One year of experience with insurance verification/referral processing preferred
* Knowledge of EPIC preferred
* Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payer
