Refrigeration Operator - Level 2

It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing! _We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business._ **SUMMARY:**   The Refrigeration Operator uses their hands-on knowledge of ammonia refrigeration and experience working with industrial refrigeration components to accomplish preventative and predictive maintenance tasks of the refrigeration department of the assigned facility**.**  Assist with Boiler and steam system maintenance. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include, but are not limited to, the following: * Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration equipment, such as compressors, ammonia pumps condensing towers, etc. * Full understanding of the refrigeration cycle * Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and assigned work orders * Perform troubleshooting activities, as necessary. * Performs quality checks as required by position and/or product at assigned facility * Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements. * Performs other related duties as assigned. **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES** This position will not have supervisory responsibility. **EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE** * **Required** * High school or equivalent AND 5+ years of experience in Refrigeration, Maintenance, or similar skill set * Refrigerating Engineers and Technicians Association (RETA) membership w/Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO) or ability to obtain. * Ammonia Refrigeration (2 stage system) * Able to pass and maintain state High Pressure Steam Boiler License * Process Safety Management (PSM) understanding * Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record * Speak, read & write fluently in English * **Preferred** * Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER) certification * Excellent mechanical aptitude with ability to handle multiple projects at one time _George’s is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to, among others, individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans.
