Planning Manager Responsibilities
In conjunction with your project team, you will be responsible for the execution of various stages of a project as follows:
• Leading and continuing to develop the Group Planning Department
• Lead Support in the implementation and change management of internal operational processes - “The Kirby Way”
• Develop a CBS for the Kirby Way by 30th Nov 2018
• Report monthly to Group Operations Director on status of “The Kirby Way” implementation
• Perform monthly project risk review’s and assess projects overall performance with the PM’s
• Develop solutions and make recommendations to Ops Managers & PM’s to mitigate project risk
• Help Implement corrective action to mitigate risk
• Work with Ops Managers to monitor closely high-risk projects with a view to mitigating / managing risk items
• Forecasting where there is project risk and opportunity for Kirby
• Make recommendations to Directors, BUL’s & Ops Managers if intervention is required
• To provide internal consulting & support in the stabilisation of distressed projects
• Assess new major projects with Op Managers and identify internal / external risks (& opportunity) rank project
• Work with Operations & Commercial to accurately forecast and predict project outcome
• Collation of Operations Managers monthly BU Reports for consolidation, review risk and opportunity
• Work with PM’s & FM’s to Co-ordinate the better integration of (and between) Support Services into projects
• Attend relevant HOM’s
• Attend relevant Project Commercial Review Meetings
• Support in new PM mentoring and monitoring during their first project
• You will proactively and vigilantly keep information secure and fully comply with the Kirby Information Security Management System (ISMS).
