Utilizes evidence-based practice to incorporate the best available research/evidence and information in the delivery of nutrition and dietetics services. * Applies knowledge and expertise in communications with patient and the public, and in public policy advocacy efforts. * Conducts the nutrition care process and workflow elements to identify and address nutrition-related problems, which a RDN is responsible for treating, incorporating the following elements: * Reviews or obtains nutrition screening data to identify malnutrition or risk of malnutrition * Obtains and evaluates medical, nutrition, and food-related information for relevance and accuracy * Identifies and labels nutrition problem(s)/diagnosis(es) * Develops, plans, and implements culturally appropriate person-/population-centered nutrition interventions * Monitors and evaluates person-/intervention-specific indicators and outcomes data to determine whether planned interventions should be continued or revised * Documents and communicates results with the interprofessional team and patients/clients/caregivers. * Continuous participation in a QI project at any OU Health location.
