**Position Title:** ------------------- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist - Pediatric Diabetes & Endocrinology Clinic **Department:** --------------- Children's Endocrinology/Diabetes Clinic **Job Description:** -------------------- **_This position may be filled as an RN Level 1, 2, or 3, depending on individual experience, education, and other qualifications._**   **Special Benefits: Sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for qualified individuals Student loan repayment up to $25,000 Relocation assistance if moving 100+ miles** **General Description:** The Registered Dietitian Nutritionist II independently delivers comprehensive nutrition care and serves as a clinical resource within their area of practice. Utilizes evidence-based practice to incorporate the best available research/evidence and information in the delivery of nutrition and dietetics services. * Applies knowledge and expertise in communications with patient and the public, and in public policy advocacy efforts. * Conducts the nutrition care process and workflow elements to identify and address nutrition-related problems, which a RDN is responsible for treating, incorporating the following elements: * Reviews or obtains nutrition screening data to identify malnutrition or risk of malnutrition * Obtains and evaluates medical, nutrition, and food-related information for relevance and accuracy * Identifies and labels nutrition problem(s)/diagnosis(es) * Develops, plans, and implements culturally appropriate person-/population-centered nutrition interventions * Monitors and evaluates person-/intervention-specific indicators and outcomes data to determine whether planned interventions should be continued or revised * Documents and communicates results with the interprofessional team and patients/clients/caregivers. * Continuous participation in a QI project at any OU Health location. Quarterly updates are to be scheduled by the RDN and information provided to their leadership. * Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. * Precept students, interns, or newly hired dietitians as assigned. **General Responsibilities:** * Performs other duties as assigned. **Minimum Qualifications:** **Education:** Master's degree in Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition, or a related field from a U.S. regionally accredited institution, or equivalent foreign degree, required. **Experience: Level I:** 0-3 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian required. **Level II:** 3-5 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian required. **Level III:** 5+ years of experience as a Registered Dietitian required, plus a CDCES certification (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist), or obtain within 24 months. **License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required:** * Licensed Dietitian from the State of Oklahoma * Registered Dietitian from the Commission on Dietetic Registration **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**   * Advanced ability to interpret complex technical or clinical information and communicate it clearly, accurately, and compassionately to patients and other non‑technical audiences. * Advanced ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining effective, respectful, and professional interpersonal relationships with patients, colleagues, and interdisciplinary teams. * Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) to document work, manage information, and support daily operational needs. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly, adapt messaging to the audience, and document information accurately and thoroughly. * Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks or competing priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy and quality of work. * Additional Job Description Additional Job Description **Essential Physical Functions of the Job** _Employees must be able to perform the following physical activities with or without accommodations._ * Stand for 3 hours per day * Sit for 2 hours per day * Walk for 3 hours per day * Job Requires Continuous * Distinguish Colors * Hear Normal Speaking and Alarms * Visual Acuity (20/50) * Fine Motor Skills * Job Requires Occasional * Climbing * Bending * Crouching * _Kneeling_ * _Reaching above Head_ * _Reaching above Shoulder_ * _Push/Pull up to 100lbs_ * _Lift/Carry up to 35lbs_ * Continuous Potential Hazards/Exposures * Repetitive Motions * Communicable Diseases * Frequent Potential Hazards/Exposures * none * Occasional Potential Hazards/Exposures * Respiratory Transmitted Diseases (requires use of respirator) **Current OU Health Employees - Please click** [HERE](https://wd5.myworkday.com/oumedicine/login.htmld) **to login.** --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- **OU Health is an equal opportunity employer.
