**Job Description**

**Hours:** Our Operating Room team enjoys a quality work-life balance through a 3/10 dayshift schedule.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery.
* Involves patient, family, and health care team members in formulating an appropriate individualized plan of care and identifies expected outcomes based on nursing assessment and diagnosis.
* Implements the plan of care in partnership with the patient, family, and health care team members.
* Ensures all components of the plan of care are documented in the patient health record.
* Evaluates the patient/family's understanding of and response to the plan of care.
* Utilizes teaching strategies appropriate to the individual patient's condition and learning needs.
* Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and to provide continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
**Required Qualifications:**
* BSN degree required or in progress
* Missouri RN license
* 2+ years OR experience
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (within one year of employment)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* CNOR highly preferred
* Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery, orthopedic and spine experience a plus
Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
