**Summary** **Job Description:** **Registered Nurse**  **Part-Time, 1****st** **Shift**  **Unit Description** _5B is a 22-bed medical/surgical unit specializing in women’s care, oncology, gynecology, and palliative/hospice care. The unit also cares for patients receiving chemotherapy. In addition, 5B provides post-operative care for plastic surgery and general surgery patients._  The Registered Nurse provides compassionate, evidence-based nursing care through assessment, treatment, care coordination, patient and family education, and individualized care planning while supporting admissions, transfers, and discharges.  **Job Description:**    \-The Registered Nurse (RN) implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person, and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.   \-The Registered Nurse (RN) is an exemplar for compassion, acceptance, respect, and empathy honoring nursing as a distinct discipline and supporting an environment focused on healing and wellness.    \-As a clinical nurse, this individual spends majority of his/her time (> 50%) coordinating, ensuring and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through: provision of nursing rounds, assessments and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer and discharge activities; provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning as applicable, etc.   **Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:**   \-Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.   \-Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.   \-Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.   \-Basic life support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don’t have it already.  \-ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of Assignment.  **Benefits: Part-Time 24 weekly hours (0.6 FTE) - 31.99 weekly hours (0.8FTE)**  \-Health, Vision, Dental and Pet Insurance  \-Tuition Reimbursement up to $6,000 annually   \-Company paid Maternity and Paternity Leave   \-Bereavement Leave (includes pets)   \-PTO Sell Back Program   \-Compassionate Leave Sharing Program (PTO Donation)  \-Employee Support Fund, for employees in need of emergency financial support   \-Retirement with Company Match  \-Identity Theft Protection  \-5 days of Paid Time Off available upon hire   ### _If you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply now!_ ### Baptist Health is an _Equal Employment Opportunity_ employer.
