She/he will be guided by a postdoctoral fellow. Experimental design will be conducted by Dr. Nekhai **NATURE AND SCOPE:** This is a two-year position supported Dr. Nekhai’s NIH RO1 grant focused on the mechanism of HIV-1 restriction in patients with Sickle Cell Disease and individuals with sickle cell trait. **PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:**       * Order laboratory supply and reagents * Maintained culture cell lines. * Isolate RNA and proteins from the cells and mouse organs * Perform RT-PCR, Western Blot, and immunostaining of paraffin-embedded tissues * Organize results and upload them to the cloud storage * Participate in the laboratory meetings * Help to renew IBC, IACUC and IRB protocols.        **CORE COMPETENCIES:**          * Self-motivated, cooperative, and dedicated * Good communication skills * Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel * Experience with cell cultures, agarose gels, PCR and Western blot are preferred **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**    B.S. or M.S degree in microbiology, immunology, physiology, or related fields. **Compliance Salary Range Disclosure** $50,000-$60,000
