Research Assistant

**About SPMS:** The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at NTU is dedicated to high-impact scientific research and technological innovation in optics, physics, and advanced instrumentation. We are seeking a motivated Project Officer / Research Assistant to join our group focusing on structured light and optical manipulation. **Key Responsibilities:** * Conduct numerical simulations (COMSOL, FDTD, Matlab) of optical forces and particle dynamics under structured light. * Setup and run optical tweezers experiments to verify theoretical models. * Analyze research data and assist in preparing scientific publications. * Assist with general laboratory management and administrative tasks. **Job Requirements:** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Optics, Precision Instrumentation, or related fields. * Experience in optical tweezers setups or numerical wave-optical/electromagnetic simulations. * Proficient in tools such as Matlab, COMSOL, FDTD Lumerical, or Python. * Good communication and writing skills. * Entry level candidates are welcome to apply.
