Research Assistant

The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Assistant on a 24-month contract at the [Learning Sciences and Assessment Department](http://www.ntu.edu.sg/nie/about-us/academic-departments/Learning-Sciences-Assessment). **Project Title:** Curiosity, 21st Century Competencies, and Self-Directed Learning **Project Introduction:** The project aims to understand how curiosity and 21st century competencies develop in self-directed, student-initiated learning experiences in MOE secondary schools. The project uses a variety of methods such as surveys, digital device use, and generative AI chatbots. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field * Proficiency in quantitative research, such as survey data and analysis * Preferably one year of research experience (fresh graduates are welcome to apply) * Experience working with MOE schools * Experience using AI tools to support research activities **Responsibilities:** * Conduct literature review * Liaise with schools and research partners * Manage data collection, data cleaning, and data analysis * Assist in the preparation of project reports and presentations * Support project administration, including meetings, documentation, and any other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator **Application** Applicants (external and internal) will apply via Workday.
