We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! **Organization:** SRMC-Sutter Roseville Med Center **Position Overview:** This position will have a focus on NICU and Labor and Delivery (L&D). Performs therapeutic, diagnostic, and emergency respiratory care procedures and provides assessment, treatment, care and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies. **Job Description**: **EDUCATION:** * Other: Graduate of Respiratory Care Program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) **CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE** * CA Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required. * National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Certification required * NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider within 180 days of hire. * BLS - Basic Life Support **PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:** * Experience with intubation of infants strongly preferred. * Acute care clinical experience in Respiratory Care, training in arterial puncture and blood gas analysis. Previous experience in performing EKG is desired. **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:** * Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology, chemistry, and physics. * Knowledge of bedside pulmonary function testing; mechanics and equipment. * Knowledge of arterial puncture and blood gas analysis, equipment and quality control. * Demonstrated familiarity with the Joint Commision on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards and College of American Pathologists (CAP) accreditation standards. * Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. * Must be able to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment and take appropriate actions in volatile situations. * Must be able to understand, read and write the English language. **Job Shift:** Nights **Schedule:** Full Time **Shift Hours:** 12 **Days of the Week:** Variable **Weekend Requirements:** Every other Weekend **Benefits:** Yes **Unions:** Yes **Position Status:** Non-Exempt **Weekly Hours:** 30 **Employee Status:** Regular Sutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.
