Respiratory Therapist Assistant Prn Variable

Performs all procedures under the supervision of a Respiratory Therapist or Respiratory Therapy Technician. Job duties will be assigned based on student's clinical progression and competency validation. Job Description ****Essential Functions**** * All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's values:  Inspire health.  Serve with compassion.  Be the difference. * Performs respiratory therapy procedures in accordance with the physician’s order, departmental policy, and the Respiratory Care Guidelines (RT Consult). May not take verbal orders or modify orders. * Documents and charges for respiratory care procedures and provides patient and family education as appropriate. * Communicates well with supervisors, therapists and technicians.  Provides a complete and accurate report * May perform blood gasses from all sites.  Analyzes and reports results accurately * Adheres to infection control and quality initiatives.  Performs appropriate cleaning/disinfection and sterilization of equipment between patients as indicated by equipment type and isolation status. * Performs other duties as assigned. ******Supervisory/Management Responsibilities****** * This is a non-management job that report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive. ******Minimum Requirements****** * Education - Currently enrolled in an approved school for respiratory care; OR new/recent graduates of a school of respiratory care who are awaiting credentialing. * Experience - No experience required. ****In Lieu Of**** * NA ******Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses****** * BLS ****Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**** * NA **Work Shift** Day (United States of America) **Location** Richland **Facility** Richland Hospital **Department** Respiratory Care Services Share your talent with us!
