**Job Description**

The Restorative Therapy Technician provides restorative therapy programs under the direction of physical, occupational, and speech therapists. This role helps residents maintain and improve their independence with mobility, self-care, positioning, and other daily activities. The technician provides individualized or small-group support, documents services, and reports changes in resident function to nursing and therapy staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide restorative therapy programs under the direction of licensed therapists.
* Assist residents with mobility, ambulation, activities of daily living, feeding, positioning, range of motion, contracture management, and other restorative programs.
* Support residents in maintaining their highest level of independence and function.
* Monitor functional maintenance programs completed by CNA staff and communicate concerns to therapy or nursing staff.
* Recognize and promptly report changes or declines in resident function.
* Accurately document resident encounters and services provided.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
* Promote resident safety, quality care, and a positive experience.
Minimum Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* One year of medical-related experience in a long-term care or hospital setting as a rehabilitation technician, certified nursing assistant, or similar role.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Reliable, responsible, and able to use sound judgment and initiative.
* Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
* Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Certified Restorative Nurse Assistant (CRNA) or equivalent certification.
* Knowledge of basic restorative nursing principles and practices.
* Understanding of restorative care philosophy.
* Relevant college coursework in patient care.
