**Position Details** **Job Number:**  JR01500 **Department:** Retail Gift Shop **Job Type:** Temporary (Fixed Term), Part time **Work Environment:** In-Person **Contract Duration: (If applicable)** 11 months **Number of Positions:** 1 **Hourly Rate (Min / Max):** $17.6 - $17.6 **Schedule** **Work Days:** Monday to Sunday **Time of Day:** Afternoons, Days **Shift:** Various Rotating **Shift Start: (If applicable)** **Reason for Posting:** Posting is for a role with an existing vacancy **Application Dates** **Opening Date:** 2026-08-04 **Closing Date:** 2026-08-11 **Job Description** **Position Summary:** The Retail Shift Supervisor reports directly to the Retail Site Manager and is responsible for maintaining store operations performing daily functions/tasks and provide exemplary customer service in order to achieve sales budgets and maximize profit. **Qualifications:** • Minimum grade 12 education • 1-3 years’ experience in retail sales and customer service • Excellent sales point of sale and cash balancing skills • Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative • Proven display and merchandising skills • Excellent problem solving skills • Team oriented **Responsibilities:** Some of the responsibilities include: • Provide exemplary customer service • Provide accurate and efficient service at cash and comply with procedures for daily balancing of the Point of Sale System • Restocking in order to drive sale ensure prices are correct and signage is appropriate and in good condition • Participate in planning and executing of store set-up assists with preparation and count of the yearend inventory • Supervise and guide volunteers assign tasks and distribute their daily work • All other duties as assigned St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton (SJHH) is an equal opportunity employer and strives for equity, inclusiveness, and diversity in all our programs, practices, facilities, and people.
