Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. **What You'll Be Doing** ------------------------ * Lead day-to-day operations across assigned ready-mix concrete locations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance. * Drive a strong safety culture through visible leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement. * Manage and develop teams by setting clear expectations, coaching performance, and supporting growth. * Partner with sales, dispatch, and plant leadership to deliver excellent customer service and operational results. * Monitor operational metrics and budgets, identifying opportunities to improve cost, quality, and productivity. **What Are We Looking For** --------------------------- * Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence outcomes in a fast-paced operational environment. * Strong understanding of safety, quality, and compliance principles with a commitment to operational excellence. * Proven capability to plan, prioritize, and execute across multiple locations or workgroups. * Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to build strong working relationships. * Sound judgment, problem-solving ability, and a continuous improvement mindset. **Work Environment** -------------------- This role operates in a combination of office, plant, and field environments. The Area Manager regularly visits ready-mix concrete plants and job sites, works around moving equipment, and partners closely with frontline teams.
