**Summary** **Job Description:** Five 8-hour shifts per week with on-call rotation for weekend call shifts. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shifts may rotate depending on staffing needs but primarily a 0730-1600 shift ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- On call rotation is for weekends and holidays 0700-1500 and rotated between nursing staff ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This position will work between Cardiology and Cardiac Rehab to assist with admissions and staff coverage. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Will rotate on call shifts with nurses within the department. May have to stay past end of shift time to complete studies on occasion. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The RN prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care of patients; participates in patient and family teaching; and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, and other patient-team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Creates a positive customer service environment. Job Duties: * Assessment and identification of patient needs * Implementation of appropriate interventions considering the needs of patient populations per department scope of service. * Delegation of nursing care activities and provisions of supervision; establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care; assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems; and performs technical aspects of care competently. Requirements: * Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing is required. * ADN or Higher * BLS / ACLS mandatory. Will have 3 months to obtain ACLS if not initially certified. * Background in Cardiology with rhythm interpretation **STONGLY** preferred. Will complete education/testing modules during orientation for rhythm interpretation.
