Job Description
Are you ready to shape the future of industrial robotic systems?
Mujin is transforming how industrial robots perceive, plan, and execute work by bringing real-time intelligence to the factory floor through MujinOS, our hardware-agnostic, software-defined automation platform.
We are seeking a talented Robotics Application Engineer to join our European engineering team and contribute to next-generation logistics automation solutions. In this role, you will develop advanced spatial and packing algorithms that feed directly into MujinOS-powered robotic systems — enabling optimal container and bin utilization, smarter loading/unloading, and efficient warehouse workflows.
Position: Robotics Application Engineer
Responsibilities
• Commission and deploy robotic systems both in-house and at customer facilities, ensuring quality, reliability, and safety
• Configure and integrate industrial robots, robot controllers, Mujin controllers, vision systems, sensors, tooling, and peripheral equipment
• Drive the setup of electrical, mechanical, and communication interfaces required for system operation
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Project Managers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver projects within scope, schedule, and budget
• Support the creation of proposals, bills of materials, engineering estimates, and risk assessments
• Work directly with customers during acceptance testing, resolving open issues, and verifying system performance
• Provide both on-site and remote technical support for deployed systems and troubleshoot integration issues
• Mentor and guide technicians and junior engineers during commissioning activities
• Contribute to the creation and improvement of internal tools, processes, and standard operating procedures
• Create and optimize robot tasks and application workflows using Mujin software
• Verify system functionality, safety, and readiness before customer handover
• Troubleshoot robots, controls, vision systems, tooling, and electrical interfaces to identify and resolve root causes
• Capture deployment learnings and contribute to continuous improvements of Mujin solutions and engineering processes
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience in industrial robotics, electrical integration, or automation commissioning
• Experience commissioning robotic systems and industrial automation equipment
• Experience creating electrical schematics, reading technical specifications, and selecting appropriate electrical components.
• Experience programming PLCs and safety controllers
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively across teams and with customers
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to ~50% of the year
• Professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken
