Sap Test Management & Quality Engineering Lead

Job Description We are looking for an experienced **SAP Test Management & Quality Engineering Lead** to transform how testing is performed across our SAP landscape. Based in Prague and reporting to the Director of Technology Compliance & Governance, this role will establish testing as a strategic capability that improves system stability, reduces deployment risk, and increases confidence in every release. You will lead the organization’s testing strategy, drive automation and AI adoption, establish a Testing Center of Excellence, and ensure testing is fully integrated with Change & Release Management processes in a regulated environment. **Responsibilities** * Define and execute the SAP testing and quality engineering strategy * Establish and lead a Testing Center of Excellence (CoE) * Drive adoption of test automation to improve quality, efficiency, and release reliability * Develop and maintain the roadmap for modern, scalable, and risk-based testing practices * Train, coach, and mentor teams on test design, execution, and quality engineering best practices * Ensure testing is embedded throughout the software delivery lifecycle * Partner with Change & Release Management teams to support compliant and controlled deployments * Define testing governance, KPIs, quality gates, and release readiness criteria * Evaluate and implement AI-driven testing capabilities, including test generation, execution, and analytics * Foster a culture where quality is owned by everyone and testing is a core component of delivery **Required Skills & Experience** * Extensive experience leading SAP testing and quality engineering activities * Proven track record of developing testing strategies and governance frameworks * Strong experience with test automation and quality engineering practices * Deep understanding of Change & Release Management in regulated environments * Experience with risk-based testing, quality controls, and audit-ready delivery processes * Ability to coach, influence, and lead cross-functional teams * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills * Fluent in English **Preferred Skills** * SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation experience * Experience establishing or leading a Testing Center of Excellence * Experience with Tricentis Tosca, Jira/Xray, SAP Cloud ALM, Solution Manager, or similar platforms * Experience with Computer Software Assurance (CSA) and risk-based validation approaches * Familiarity with Computer System Validation * Knowledge of GxP, SOX, ISAE3402, or similar compliance frameworks * Experience working in Pharma industry * Experience leveraging AI to improve testing effectiveness and efficiency **What Success Looks Like** * Increase automation coverage across the SAP landscape * Improve release quality and production stability * Reduce testing effort through standardization and AI adoption * Strengthen release readiness and deployment confidence * Build a sustainable quality engineering capability and testing community across the organization **Required Skills:** Audit Readiness, Change Management, Communication, Quality Engineering, Regulated Industries, Release Management, SAP Testing, Stakeholder Management, Test Automation **Preferred Skills:** Artificial Intelligence (AI), Atlassian JIRA, Computer System Validation (CSV), GxPs, Pharmaceutical Industry, SAP S/4HANA, Tricentis Tosca Current Employees apply [HERE](https://wd5.myworkday.com/msd/d/task/1422$6687.htmld) Current Contingent Workers apply [HERE](https://wd5.myworkday.com/msd/d/task/1422$4020.htmld) **Search Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully**  Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
