Scale Attendant

LeMay, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a **Scale Attendant** to join the team at our location in **Aberdeen, WA** . **The schedule for this position will be Tuesday through Saturday; 8 am to 5 pm. Starting pay will be $19.50 per hour with yearly pay raises.** DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Solicit sale of new or additional services. * Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the transfer station as a cashier * Responsible for balancing out a cash drawer and reconciling a Credit Card Machine. * Weighing trucks in and out and calculating payments for customers. * Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures. * Ensuring that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material. * Work on your feet outside throughout your shift * Providing general upkeep of the Scale House. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: * Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English. * Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required. * 2 years of Customer Service experience. * Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Email _preferred_ . Typing and 10-key skills are required. * Excellent organization and communication skills. * Ability to analyze and solve problems.
