Scale Attendant

**Waste Connections has an immediate opening for an Scale House Attendant/Clerk to join the team at our location in Palestine, Texas.** **Monday-Friday 7:30am- 4:30pm with Saturdays 8am-12pm** **Pay: $18.00** **Why You Need to Join Us! • CULTURE: It’s a Great place to work! Respect for ourselves grows through all the hard work and great service we provide to the communities we are privileged to serve.**  **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * **Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the transfer station.** * **Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures.** * **Calculate payments for customers.** * **Ensure incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.** * **Approach all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.** **IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:** * **Excellent customer service skills.** * **Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment.** * **Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel.** * **Must have flexible availability to include weekends.** * **Proficiency in Spanish & English a plus.** **Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
