Seasonal Supervisor

**Job Description:** ==================== **Essential Duties & Responsibilities:** * Provide direct supervision to operations personnel to ensure efficiency and quality. * Monitor and enforce safety protocols ensuring a safe, clean, and productive work environment. * Coach and mentor the team to ensure they are well-trained in tools and processes. * Handle employee relations, such as performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary issues. * Manage timekeeping, attendance, and vacation schedules to ensure smooth operations and optimal workforce availability. * Analyze operational data to help identify areas of improvement and collaborate with other departments * Ensure the safe, clean and efficient operation of the department to meet standards. * Provide training and technical assistance in other departments. * Match the skill and background of personnel to work required. * Assist in developing a program to train and motivate personnel for increased effectiveness. **May be involved in various projects and cross training in other areas/responsibilities.** **Qualifications** ================== **REQUIREMENTS:** * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. * Prior success in lead/supervisory role preferred including organizing and prioritizing work and utilizing sound judgement. * Previous experience utilizing independent decision making. * Ability to work flexible hours as needed. * Competent use of AS400/Microsoft Office (email), basic computer skills * Must have the ability to motivate staff and handle a variety of both personnel and technical issues on an ongoing basis. * Ability to handle and diffuse stressful situations. * Excellent overall customer service skills. **Time Type:** ============== Full time **Job Type:** ============= Regular Seasonal **Job Family Group:** ===================== Distrib & Matls Mgmt **Location Region/State:** ========================== Missouri **EEO Statement:** ================== Scholastic is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
